There’s now a second major departure from “The X Factor.”
Just hours after Steve Jones announced that he’ll not be returning as the singing competition’s host, it’s been confirmed that judge Nicole Scherzinger is leaving the show, too.
A rep for Scherzinger did not reply to a request for comment.
The former Pussycat Doll reportedly wants to focus on her own music career.

Replacements for Scherzinger and Jones have not been named.
The Scherzinger news was first reported by E!
She and Jones were originally slated to co-host on the show’s first season, but Scherzinger wound up replacing Cheryl Cole on the judge panel.
