Pete Wentz wants Ashlee Simpsons new man Evan Ross to “stay away” from the former couple’s son Bronx, reports Star.

According to the magazine, the Fall Out Boy singer is dead-set against Simpson “bringing her new, party-obsessed boyfriend around their 4-year-old son.”

A purported “insider” for the tab claims, “Pete has known Evan from the Hollywood scene and thinks he’s trouble.”

Really?

Not at all.

A rep for Wentz tells Gossip Cop, “Pete Wentz isn’t familiar with Evan and has not suggested anything of the sort.”

Of course, the mag’s inaccurate report is not entirely surprising considering its sister site RadarOnline has gotten more than a few stories wrong about Wentz and Simpson.

Ashlee Simpson’s “Hard Partying” to Trigger Custody Fight with Pete Wentz?

Truth rating: 0

“World War III has erupted between Ashlee Simpson and ex-husband Pete Wentz over the blonde beauty’s hard partying,” sources tell the National Enquirer, which once falsely declared that Simpson and her sister Jessica were engaged in “World War III” over their clothing venture.

(The Enquirer needs fresh writing as badly as it needs better sources.)

In any case, the tabloid insists that Wentz believes Simpson is “spiraling out of control,” and he’s “considering fighting for primary custody of their 4-year-old son, Bronx.”

“Ashlee has been drinking like a fish, and she’s a fixture on the club and house-party scene,” explains an Enquirer “insider.”

The mag source adds, “Pete is at his wit’s end over Ashlee. He’s angry that she hasn’t been maintaining Bronx’s sleeping schedule and that she sometimes uses the TV as his ‘baby sitter.’”

According to the outlet, Wentz is angling for a new custody arrangement.

“But Ashlee is resisting, and it could get ugly,” contends the Enquirer source. “Pete says that if Ashlee doesn’t change her partying ways or agree to his custody demands, he’ll go to court. And having her dirty laundry aired in public would be very embarrassing for Ashlee.”

Um, maybe the Enquirer should take a break from reporting on the Simpsons, because its over-the-top stories about the family — including Ashlee — are not getting any more reliable.

She is NOT “spiraling” out of control, and there is NO brewing custody fight with Wentz.

A source close to Simpson tells Gossip Cop the Enquirer report is totally untrue.

Pete Wentz Taking Ashlee Simpson to Court for “Full Custody” of Son?

Truth rating: 0

10:36 am, March 1st, 2013

(RadarOnline)

RadarOnline just doesn’t know when to quit.

The blog, which wrongly reported on Thursday that Ashlee Simpsons alleged ”hard partying is starting to worry her ex-husband, Pete Wentz,” is now doubling down on its off-the-mark claims.

“Pete Wentz Considering Temporary Full Custody Of Bronx As Ashlee Simpson’s Partying Continues,” reads a new headline on the site.

A so-called “source” tells the webloid, “Pete is worried that Bronx’s well-being could be affected if Ashlee continues to party hard, and he’s concerned about her right now.”

“He spoke with [Simpson’s mom] Tina about his concerns and warned that if Ashlee doesn’t get a grip and calm down the partying he won’t hesitate to get a temporary full custody order in place for Bronx,” alleges the supposed snitch.

The blog’s “source” goes on to insist, “With the situation as it is, if Ashlee doesn’t sort herself out soon, Pete believes he will have no option but to go to the courts to get this matter resolved.”

Enough.

As Gossip Cop already reported, there are NO issues between Wentz and Simpson.

The Fall Out Boy bassist is currently on tour, and the notion that he’d suddenly go to court for “full custody” is patently false.

Wentz’s team remains adamant that “Ashlee and Pete are working together to co-parent.”

Nothing has changed — including RadarOnline wrongly adhering to an inaccurate premise.
