Michael Cera appeared on “Late Show with David Letterman” on Monday to promote his new movie Crystal Fairy — but the host seemed more concerned about the actor off-screen.

Letterman rather adorably expressed — repeatedly — his “worry” and affection for Cera, whom he hopes has people to “look after” him, and whom he thinks of as being 16 instead of 25.

Cera then told an entertaining story about a disastrous date at a sweat lodge in Chile.

Crystal Fairy and the Magical Cactus Michael Cera

The first full-length trailer has premiered for Crystal Fairy and the Magical Cactus, starring Michael Cera as an American traveling through Chile and hoping to hallucinate.

Gaby Hoffman plays the free-spirited title character, who meets up with Cera and a set of local brothers as they go in search of a cactus containing mescaline.

The film, written and directed by Sebastián Silva, was a Sundance hit and comes to theaters in July.
