Adam Levine is “feuding” with Maroon 5, claims Star.

According to the magazine, the singer “has let fame go to his head and is threatening to ditch” his bandmates.

“The band was set to finish their next record and tour but had to rework everything around Adam’s schedule filming The Voice,” explains a Star “spy.”

The tabloid claims that Levine “reneged” on an alleged promise to be completely focused on Maroon 5 for a year when “The Voice” offered him a big paycheck.

Star also says “his Maroon 5 mates were livid to learn that he may be shopping a solo project.”

“The tension is at an all-time high,” reports the mag’s source.

Uh-huh.

Given the lows Star hits when it reports on Levine, Gossip Cop decided to look into this sketchy-sounding report.

A rep for Maroon 5 tells Gossip Cop the story is “not true.”
