Young Lee, co-founder of popular frozen yogurt chain Pinkberry, was sentenced on Friday to the maximum term of seven years in prison after attacking a homeless man on a Los Angeles freeway, reported NBC.

Lee, who is no longer affiliated with Pinkberry, was convicted in November for assault with a deadly weapon. The initial attack happened in June 2011 on an exit ramp of the Los Angeles freeway.

Prosecutors claim the attack was due to the victim's "sexually explicit tattoo." According to court documents, the victim was changing his shirt and revealed the tattoo as Lee arrived to the scene.

Lee parked his SUV on Vermont Avenue, grabbed a tire iron, and continued to argue with the victim before he beat him. The victim's lawyer said he suffered a concussion and broken arm from the attack.

Lee traveled overseas to England and Korea after the attacks, according to NBC. He was later arrested in January 2012 at Los Angeles International Airport.
