Tom Hardy will play Elton John in the biopic movie Rocketman.
Producers announced the news on Wednesday.
The project is described as a “larger-than-life movie musical spectacle that tells the story of a child prodigy turned music legend.”
John will re-record many of his hit songs for the movie, which is scheduled to film in 2014.
Rocketman will be directed by Michael Gracey.
