Kerry Washington appeared on Thursday’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” talking to the host about “Scandal,” her childhood dream and hosting this week’s “Saturday Night Live.”

The actress told Kimmel, “I had this dream as a child. What I really wanted to be when I grew up was the woman in the Shamoo show with the killer whale at Sea World.”
Washington shared, “I studied really hard, I got into marine biology… and then I got to AP bio in high school, and I was like ‘forget the whale, I’ll be on stage by myself.’”
“And that’s when Kerry Washington was born,” the star joked.
