Jenelle Evans’ struggles with drug use were depicted on Monday night’s extremely sad season finale of “Teen Mom 2.”

The episode chronicled the reality star’s mom’s off-camera attempt at an intervention last fall, where Barbara Evans and her boyfriend Mike reportedly entered Jenelle’s home and found syringes and empty baggies.
During the show, Barbara tries to have her daughter committed to a psychiatric ward, but the reality star is released after a three-hour evaluation.
After her release, Jenelle’s then-boyfriend Kieffer Delp tells the camera, “I don’t care if it is a heroin needle, they stole property from our house,” before saying he plans to press charges against Barbara and Mike.
She laments to him, “It’s hard staying sober because all the problems in your life you just forget about when you’re high.”
At the end of the show, Jenelle appears in an altered state as she nods off on camera.
The reality star, who was busted for heroin possession last week, tweeted ahead of the show, “Can’t watch tonight’s episode.”
Jenelle added in a later post, “I kno what I’ve done wrong, but that’s in the past. I’m looking towards my future. At least I have guts to share my story, but would u?”
The episode could may well have been the last of the “Teen Mom 2″ franchise, as MTV told Gossip Cop in January that it’s unsure whether the show will be renewed for a fifth season.
