TV Ratings: ‘The Neighbors’ Hits Low, ‘American Idol’ and ‘Survivor’ Mostly Steady

Daylight savings saw adults 18-49 usage drop 9 percent between 8 and 10 p.m. and 7 percent between 8 and 11 p.m. compared to last Wednesday -- though most of the broadcast networks were in encores.

A two-hour American Idol gave Fox the night's only fully original block, averaging a 3.6 rating with adults 18-49 and 13.1 million viewers. The series was off two tenths of a point from last Wednesday's demo final but up from the previous showing among total viewers.

CBS kicked off the night with a new Survivor (2.5 adults). It was off a tenth of a point from last week, leading into a block of encores. The network averaged a 2.0 rating with adults 18-49 and 8.2 million viewers.

The Neighbors (1.4 adults) was the lone original on ABC, sandwiched between comedy encores. The series was predictably down, by three tenths of a point, for a new low. ABC averaged a 1.2 rating with 18-49-ers and 3.9 million viewers.

On NBC, Whitney (1.2 adults) was off a tenth of a point last week. The entire night, the rest in encores, averaged a 1.1 rating with adults 18-49 and 3.8 million viewers.

Repeats fetched the CW a 0.4 rating with adults 18-49 and 1.5 million viewers.

And Univision, besting ABC and NBC, pulled a 1.5 rating in the key demo with 3.5 million viewers.
