MTV Canceling Teen Mom 2?

Truth rating: 6

MTV may be pulling the plug on “Teen Mom 2″ amid the seemingly endless antics of one of the show’s four stars, Jenelle Evans.

According to the New York Post, the network plans to shut down production on the series, in part because of the bad publicity Evans generates.

Her time in the spotlight has included arrests, rehab stints, and profanity-laced public feuds, as well as a loss of custody of her three-year-old son Jace.

In recent weeks, Evans married Courtland Rogers, allegedly became pregnant with his baby, accused him of domestic violence and threatened to divorce him.

Last week, she appeared to insinuate on Twitter that she had a miscarriage.

A rep for MTV tells Gossip Cop, ”No decision has been made yet regarding a fifth season of ‘Teen Mom 2,’ but the network is planning to air the fourth season this year and will announce the premiere date soon.”

“Teen Mom 2″ also stars Leah MesserKailyn Lowry and Chelsea Houska.

Last year, MTV ended the original “Teen Mom” series — starring Amber Portwood, Farrah AbrahamMaci Bookout and Catelynn Lowell — after four seasons.

Gossip Cop will have updates.
