U.S. Women’s Soccer Team Goes for Gold (SPOILER)

The U.S. women’s soccer team played Japan for the gold medal at the Olympics on Thursday.

Alex Morgan, Hope Solo, Abby Wambach and the other American stars were trying to win a third consecutive Olympic final, with the U.S. team having defeated Brazil in both 2004 and 2008.

So how did it play out?

The U.S. women won!

Carli Lloyd scored both goals in a 2-1 at Wembley Stadium.

The win also served as revenge for Japan’s defeat of the Americans at last year’s World Cup.

Canada, meanwhile, earned the Olympic bronze with an earlier victory over France.
