These are not your gaming blockbuster Kickstarter projects. However, that shouldn't keep you from hopping in on these at the last moment.
While the Tim Schafer Kickstarter saw an onslaught of new projects eager to emulate Double Fine's unusual level of success, Kickstarter has been around for a fair while prior, and there are plenty of smaller projects now getting lost in the fray.
Here are five quirky projects with less than a day to go. Each has already been fully financed, but can still be backed for a slice of what is being offered.
Let's call this the 'April' edition.
Humans vs. Zombies Documentary
HvZ, or Humans vs. Zombies is, "...a game of moderated tag. The purpose of the game is to survive as a 'human' in a simulated zombie apocalypse, so to speak. The humans can defend themselves using Nerf blasters or socks."
This documentary Kickstarter aims, "to capture the energy and spirit of HvZ during the Spring 2012 game on the RIT campus in Rochester, NY."
Granted, this is essentially a university project. However, as far as Kickstarters go, it asked a very modest sum, and the potential to see an entire game, "of HvZ from start to finish, including all the pre-planning that goes into the game, and the aftermath," is all too tempting.
Perfect For: Preparing for the inevitable zombie invasion. Also, date night.
Featured Donor Level: $5 or more gets you a digital copy of this film upon completion.

Silber Mini-Comics Collection
This project is all about delivering unique comics in an unusual format: in the size of a pack of matches.
Each is handcrafted, and features zine-style artwork, touching on a variety of themes that range from Lovecraft to Westerns.
Perfect For: The next time you run out of things to say at a bar, you can use one of these to amaze everyone in the vicinity and strike up a brand new batch of conversation.
"Who's got comics in their pockets? I do!"
Featured Donor Level: $5 or more gets you a collection of eight of these mini-comics, selected at random.

Random Dungeon Generator as a Dungeon Map
D&D fans take note - this project promises an, "...illustrated 36" by 24" playable dungeon map poster [that] encapsulates the Dungeon Master's Guide's complete rules for generating random dungeons."
They must be doing something right, as this project has been funded at over 1,300% of its original goal, at $26,000 out of the initial $2,000. It just goes to show - if you have what a niche wants and don't go too overboard on the goal for your Kickstarter project, you might just find your funding (and then some).
Perfect For: Getting you and your friends hopelessly addicted to D&D. Or for aiding it.
Featured Donor Level: $17 or more gets you a copy of this playable dungeon and poster.
