Katy Perry is set to appear on the small screen in “Raising Hope” next week, and now comes word she may be headed to the big one, as well.
Perry is in talks to make her movie debut in One Chance, a biopic based on the life of “Britain’s Got Talent” winner Paul Potts, who went from being a cell phone salesman to a major opera singer after winning the reality show in 2007.

The pop star would play Pott’s wife, Julie-Ann Cooper.
The film’s producer, Harvey Weinstein, says shooting will likely begin in England “soon,” with a British actor in the role of Potts.

“We’d really like someone like Katy or Adele to play the role of Potts’ wife, and Katy seemed genuinely interested,” he tells the New York Post.
Perry is also reportedly in talks for her own 3D concert movie.
