Sacha Baron Cohen has reportedly been banned from attending the Academy Awards on Sunday amid reports that he planned to pull a red carpet stunt dressed as the title character of his upcoming film The Dictator.
Deadline reports that The Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences pulled Baron Cohen’s tickets when they could not gain assurance that the comedian would not arrive in his “dictator” costume.
There’s been no official confirmation on Baron Cohen’s status for the ceremony.

Baron Cohen is in Hugo, which is up for 11 Oscars, including Best Picture.
