President Obama’s “thoughts and prayers” are with Whitney Houston’s daughter Bobbi Kristina.
White House press secretary Jay Carney spoke on the President’s behalf at a press briefing on Monday.
“I know that his thoughts and prayers are with her family, especially her daughter,” he told reporters. “It’s a tragedy to lose somebody so talented at such a young age.”
While he was not sure whether Obama had ever personally met Houston, Carney said, “I think it would be hard not to be an admirer of her immense talent.”
Houston died at 48 on Saturday.
