“Demi’s Sad Spiral,” reads the headline of a cover story from Us Weekly, which goes on to claim that a struggling Demi Moore has been “chasing after” 24-year-old Zac Efron.
The mag says Moore “tracked down” Efron, a good friend of her daughter Rumer, at a recent party in Venice, California.
According to a so-called “Efron source,” “She just showed up, and everyone was pretty freaked out. They thought it was weird she would hang out with people half her age.”
The supposed insider claims, “She calls him and texts him a lot, but he’s not interested at all,” adding, “He thinks she’s a creepy cougar.”
Us says Efron was so repelled by the star’s advances that he “left the party to escape Moore.”
But while this all makes for a juicy story – and while Moore has certainly been going through her share of turmoil – it’s just not the case that she’s been preying on Efron.
A Moore confidante tells Gossip Cop the mag’s story is “completely untrue,” and an Efron insider reiterates that there’s been nothing weird going on between them.
