This week, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are back on the cover of In Touch, which in the first two months of 2012 has already accused Jolie of tantrums and public drunkenness while suggesting that a “7-year itch” is about to kill the couple’s relationship.
So we can’t wait to hear the tabloid’s scoop on all of Jolie’s ”Crazy Wedding Demands”!
According to In Touch, the actress-director is furious that Pitt made a statement about the pair marrying, and has set out to plan “the worst nuptials ever.”
“Livid over losing the emotional leverage she’d held over her partner for so long, Angelina wants to take back control any way she can,” explains the magazine, “And she’s doing it by being the world’s worst bridezilla.”
Yep, the magazine is actually arguing that Jolie has set about “ruining” her wedding to exact revenge on the man she’s allegedly marrying.
Sigh.
How is her supposed plot going so far?
Well, Jolie is insisting on a “black gown” rather than the dress daughter Zahara is pleading with her to wear, and she’s “opted for obscure Yugoslavian folk music” instead of a band the couple’s kids can dance to.
(In Touch apparently thinks Jolie wants to get emotional revenge on her children, too.)
She’s also allegedly “refusing to let Brad pick out her wedding ring” and banning wedding cake.
“Clearly, Angelina is more interested in having control over those in her household than she is in making them truly happy,” explains In Touch.
Oh, clearly!
As for the location, Jolie has denied Pitt’s requests to hold the wedding “in a convenient location” and to invite pals like George Clooney and Matt Damon.
Instead, she’s “intent on having the wedding in remote Thailand, with a tiny guest list, comprised mostly of her friends.”
In a final insult, Jolie allegedly “vetoed” Pitt’s choice for best man, insisting it be her own brother, James Haven, rather than Brad’s.
Except the real “insult” here is to In Touch readers.
This entire story – the notion that Pitt and Jolie are planning a wedding, Jolie turning into a crazy bridezilla, the revenge plots against Pitt and their children, all of it – is completely untrue.
Week after week, year after year, In Touch demonstrates that it knows absolutely nothing about the couple, and that its sources are worthless.
In dozens of stories, the tabloid pretends to have exclusive information about goings-on behind closed doors in the Pitt-Jolie household, and time and again it’s proven wrong.
And yet, here are Jolie’s “crazy wedding demands” on the magazine’s cover.
Sources close to the couple tell Gossip Cop there’s no more truth to this week’s nonsense than in In Touch’s previous bids to create controversy out of nothing.
