The expectations were low when University of California, Berkeley frat boy Kyle Crews walked into his “American Idol” audition with his Seth Rogen demeanor and not-so-cool plaid shirt. But when he started to sing Monica’s “Angel of Mine,” the judges were blown away.
Steven Tyler said Crews had “the best male voice we’ve heard yet… unreal.”
Randy Jackson told the contestant, “You sound nothing like you look… Kyle, you can sing, dude.”
And Jennifer Lopez loved Crews, too.
