There have been rumors that Paula Deen may compete on “Dancing with the Stars,” and pro dancer Mark Ballas says personal feelings have nothing to do with whether he or his colleagues would hit the floor with the embattled celebrity kitchen personality.

When TMZ asked Ballas whether any of the dancers would “have a problem” with Deen being on the show, he said it was a matter of professionalism.

“Whether they had a problem or not, we don’t have the say or the prerogative to have a problem,” said the dancer. “For us, it’s like, that’s our job… You get paid to do it, and just do as you’re told, and go with the flow.”

Would Ballas “put up a fight” if producers partnered him with Deen?

He replied, ”I can’t put up a fight.”

Mark Ballas may be sitting on the sidelines during Monday’s “Dancing with the Stars.”

The two-time champ revealed in a USA Today blog post on Sunday that he suffered a lower back injury last week.

“While trying a lift, I compressed two discs in my lower back and could hardly move for two days,” Ballas revealed.

Aly Raisman’s partner continued, ”The timing couldn’t be worse, being that we have to know four dances this week even though we will only be performing two.”

Forced to sit out rehearsals, Ballas said fellow pro dancer Henry Byalikov “has stepped in, and may possibly dance for me on Monday if I can’t compete.”

Still, the “DWTS” veteran hasn’t given up all hope of participating in Monday’s show.

“I’m really hoping to be out there shaking it with Aly on Monday night so send me your good vibes y’all,” wrote Ballas.
