Flavor Flav was arrested on Thursday morning for speeding and driving without a license on the way to his mother’s funeral — and then let go.

When the rapper was stopped on a Long Island highway for allegedly going 79 mph in a 55 mph zone, police also discovered a small amount of marijuana.
A background check also revealed his license had 16 suspensions.
Flavor Flav was charged with felony aggravated unlicensed operation and violations for speeding and marijuana possession.
But instead of being held in custody until he made bail on the felony charge, the performer was given an appearance ticket for a future court date in order to still make it to the funeral.
He’s expected to return on January 28.
Flavor Flav’s mom, Anna Drayton, passed away on New Year’s Eve.
