Eliot Spitzer, the former New York governor who resigned amid a prostitution scandal and is now running for city comptroller, appeared on Friday’s “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.”
By coincidence, the other guest happened to be Bill Hader — who played Spitzer on “Saturday Night Live.”
Hader recalled a nervous exchange with Spitzer years earlier, and then Leno added to the awkwardness by playing an “SNL” clip in which Hader (as Spitzer) refers to himself as the “Bone Ranger.”
