Lifetime's UnREAL is bolstering its creative team for season two.

Judging Amy alum Carol Barbee has joined the series as an executive producer, The Hollywood Reporter has learned. She will reunite with showrunner Marti Noxon on the Lifetime series after previously working with her on Bravo's Girlfriends' Guide to Divorce

In addition to Barbee, who will help Noxon given her busy schedule juggling multiple shows at the same time, UnREAL has also promoted co-creator Sarah Gertrude Shapiro to exec producer. The drama, which became a summer sensation, is based on Shapiro's short Sequin Raze.

Head writer/exec producer Stacy Rukeyser (The Lying Game, Greek, Crash) has also been promoted to exec producer, with Robert M. Sertner and Sally DeSipio also remaining on board as exec producers.

The drama follows the crazy contestants and the producers behind the scenes of a faux Bachelor-esque dating show. Shiri Appleby stars as the staffer whose job is to manipulate the show-within-the-show's relationships.

Shapiro, who was an associate producer on The Bachelor, serves as a producer on UnREAL and made her scripted writing debut on the series.
