"American Ninja Warrior's" Kacy Catanzaro

Can Mighty Kacy make history again?

All eyes will be on Kacy Catanzaro, when the five-foot-tall former gymnast sets her sights on the 80-foot Mount Midoriyama during her run Monday on American Ninja Warrior during the Las Vegas finals.

Catanzaro has made history during American Ninja Warrior's sixth season. After failing to make it through the qualifying round in season five, Catanzaro became the first woman to ever successfully climb the 14-foot Warped Wall during the Venice qualifying round, with her historic run going viral.

She then went on to become the first woman to complete the show's intense semifinals course and secure a spot in the Las Vegas finals. It's a course that no American has ever been able to complete.

Catanzaro told The Hollywood Reporter in March, ahead of the qualifying round, that she's been focusing on a few key obstacles, including the quadsteps and Warped Wall while also zeroing in on grip strength in her training. "We’ve been training to be ready for whatever they throw at us," she said. "Last year women went further than ever and a lot of us went to Vegas. We really proved that women are out there, too, and that the guys need to watch out for us. I think that this year is going to feed off of last year. Everybody wants that same thing; they need something to let them know it's possible. I think that this year is going to be the year that a girl is going to finish Stage 1, and I really hope that it’s me."

Watch Catanzaro's finals run, below. She competes Monday, Sept. 1 on American Ninja Warrior. The season finale, compete with Stages II, III and IV — if people make it past Stage 1 of the finals — airs on Sept. 8, with season seven returning next summer. Repeats of ANW air on Tuesdays at 8 p.m. on Esquire Network.
