A team of Deaf campers and staff from Deaf Film Camp 2014 produced this incredible version of Pharrell's "Happy" in American Sign Language (ASL).
The two-week Deaf Film Camp at Camp Mark Seven in New York is for 13 to 16 year old aspiring filmmakers.
The music video was part of a project where deaf instructors taught campers to integrate ASL translation into a song and learn the art of dance choreography.
This video was translated and performed in ASL by Rosa Lee Timm, a deaf performance artist, and Azora Telford, an ASL interpreter.
All 24 students at the camp helped to make the video, either starring in it or working behind the scenes.
Their amazing efforts paid off: The video has got more than 300,000 views since it was released two weeks ago.
"I think there are a lot of deaf kids out there who will see this video and they’re going to realize, ‘Wow, I can do that, too. I can enjoy music and be involved in movies,'" a 13-year-old camper from California Zahra Chauhan, told TODAY.com through an interpreter. "It just makes me feel really proud."
