NBC is looking to Claudia Lonow for another slightly off family comedy.

The showrunner behind How to Live With Your Parents (for the Rest of Your Life) is teaming with Aaron Kaplan's Kapital Entertainment for comedy Assisted Loving, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.

From Universal Television, the comedy — which has received a script commitment from the network — is based on the book of the same name by Bob Morris. The comedy centers on two half-siblings who take care of their father. Morris' 2008 book centers on a man whose love life is a disaster who finds himself looking for love alongside his father after the passing of his dad's wife.

Lonow will pen the script and exec produce alongside Kaplan and Tracy Katsky. This marks Lonow's (Accidentally on Purpose) second sale this development season, joining the Ed Helms-produced comedy Big Kids. Both projects are at NBC via her overall deal with Universal Television. The project comes after her short-lived ABC comedy How to Live, which was based on her life of moving back in with her parents with her college-age daughter.

The comedy also marks Katsky's first sale via her pod deal with Kaplan's banner. For former agent-turned-producer Kaplan, Assisted Loving is his third broadcast sale so far this season, with comedies also set up at CBS and Fox.

Lonow is repped by WME.
