Over shots of the couple getting close and then quickly becoming weary of one another, Amy says off-camera, "Man of my dreams, this man of mine, may truly kill me."

An adaptation of Gillian Flynn's best-selling 2012 novel of the same name, Gone Girl tells the story of the disappearance of Amy, and the ensuing, very public battle in which Nick gets embroiled to prove his innocence.
