Jena Irene had the “best performance” on “American Idol” Movie Night on Wednesday.
The wildcard contestant, who was nearly eliminated last week, earned a standing ovation for “Decode” by Paramore from Twilight.
“I don’t know what you were doing in the Bottom Three last week,” declared Jennifer Lopez.
“Honestly, you have one of the best voices here with the most dynamics, you give great performances,” continued the judge, before urging, “America, please get on board with this! This girl is the real thing… Best performance of the night. ”
Keith Urban loved that Irene used the piano, and told her, “There’s a ferocity about the way you perform… It’s exhilarating.”
And Harry Connick Jr. said, “You do your own thing, and it’s really nice to hear… That was very, very strong, Jena.”
