She will join returning judges Isaac Mizrahi and Georgina Chapman for the third season, which begins production in New York in June for a fall premiere.

The designers who will be competing for another shot at the crown have not yet been announced. Previous winners include Mondo Guerra (season one) and Anthony Ryan Auld (season two).

Milano, who follows in the footsteps of previous hosts Angela Lindvall (season one) and Carolyn Murphy (season two), is no stranger to the design world: She has her own clothing and jewelry line, Touch by Alyssa Milano, featuring pro-sports-themed apparel for women.

Milano's Project Runway All Stars  role also reunites her with the network for which she previously starred in the movies Sundays at Tiffany's and Wisegal, the latter of which she also produced.

Meanwhile, the actress also returns to the small screen Monday night on ABC's new drama series Mistresses. The show, based on the U.K. series, centers on the scandalous lives of a sexy and sassy group of four girlfriends, each on her own path to self-discovery.

Mistresses, which premieres at 10 p.m., also stars Yunjin Kim, Rochelle Ayte, Jes Macallan, Brett Tucker, Jason George and Erik Stocklin.

She also released the book Safe at Home: Confessions of a Baseball Fanatic, which chronicles her passion for baseball and how her love for the game has helped shape who she is.

She is repped by CAA and manager Jason Barrett at Alchemy.

Project Runway All Stars is produced by The Weinstein Co. and Bunim/Murray Productions. Executive producers include TWC's Harvey Weinstein, Bob Weinstein, Meryl Poster and Barbara Schneeweiss; Bunim/Murray's Jonathan Murray and Gil Goldschein; Rob Bagshaw (Top Chef Masters); and Lifetime's Rob Sharenow, Gena McCarthy and David Hillman.
