Michael Phelps Races Last Individual Olympic Event Ever (SPOILER)

Michael Phelps has already set records at these London Games, but Friday marked an important milestone for the American swimmer — the final individual event of his amazing Olympic career.

The most decorated Olympian in history attempted to win his 17th gold medal (and 21st overall) in the 100-meter butterfly.

Did he do it?

Phelps won!

The champion finished in 51.21 seconds, outpacing tied silver medalists Chad le Clos of South Africa and Evgeny Korotyshkin of Russia.

Phelps will end his last Olympics by competing in the 4×100 medley relay on Saturday.

He’s now captured three golds and two silvers in London.
