“An irate Angelina Jolie exploded in a rage after hubby-to-be Brad Pitt snuck off to a boozy all-night bachelor party with British director pal Guy Ritchie and didn’t return home until dawn,” claims the National Enquirer.
Yes, apparently having grown weary of fabricating a war between Jolie and Pitt over his mother, the Enquirer is now inventing a fight between the couple over his friends.
According to the tabloid, while in London Pitt joined Ritchie “and some film cronies for a secret boys-only bash at The Punch Bowl,” where an “insider” says Pitt “spent most of his time partying in the back room, slugging down ales with the boys.”
The Enquirer source adds, “Brad kept referring to the evening as his bachelor party and his last hurrah before he marries Angelina.”
(All of which is especially funny since the same magazine falsely claimed Pitt and Jolie would wed last spring. Oops.)
In any case, at 6:00 a.m. Pitt allegedly “crawled back” to the home he and Jolie are staying in outside the city, where the tab’s source says Jolie “was waiting for him in the living room.”
The actress “read him the riot act,” claims the “insider,” whom the Enquirer apparently wants us to believe was in the couple’s living room while they allegedly fought.
“She told him how worried she’d been and that she wouldn’t tolerate any more wild boozing in the days leading up to their wedding,” a different “source” tells the Enquirer (that must have been some crowded living room!), adding that Jolie then “blamed Guy for leading him astray” and accused Pitt of “acting like a 20-year-old frat boy” in his company.
The mag’s source continues, “She was so mad and shaking with fury, that she just threw up her arms and ordered Brad to get some sleep because ‘he looked terrible.’”
Uh-huh.
As much as we’d like to believe that a publication that’s been comically wrong and grossly sensational about almost everything related to Pitt and Jolie suddenly has sources who can credibly reconstruct exact pre-dawn conversations from inside the couple’s house, this story is totally bogus.
It’s true that Pitt and Ritchie are friendly, but it’s absolutely false there was any epic “bachelor party” ending in a fight with Jolie.
A source close to the couple tells Gossip Cop it’s “pure fiction.”
