Duchess Kate at the mic!
On Monday, Kate Middleton gave her first-ever public speech since becoming the Duchess of Cambridge nearly a year ago.
Thin and chic in a blue, belted dress, Prince William's wife, 30, was filmed at the opening of the East Anglia Children's Hospice (EACH) at the Treehouse center in Ipswich.
"I feel hugely honored to be here to see this wonderful center," she told the crowd at the podium, checking her notes. "I am only sorry that William can't be here today, he would love it here."

The Duchess spoke of her love of children -- and how the Treehouse, which cares for seriously ill children, raised her spirits. "Today I have seen again that the Treehouse is all about family and fun . . The feelingss you inspire; the feelings of love and hope offer a chance to families to live a life they never through could be possible."
