(Lionsgate)

Katniss Everdeen still rules the box office.

The Hunger Games is expected to earn approximately $55 million in its second weekend, approaching the $250 million mark overall and swamping two major new releases.

Wrath of the Titans is projected to hit $37 million in its debut for second place, while the year’s first Snow White adaptation, Mirror Mirror, should rack up $21 million.

Buddy cop comedy 21 Jump Street will finish in fourth place at about $14 million, ahead of The Lorax and its $9 million.

It’s a steep drop to John Carter ($2 million), with the Martian adventure bomb just ahead of Salmon Fishing in the Yemen ($1.7 million) and Act of Valor ($1.3 million).

The Top 10 wraps up with A Thousand Words and Project X, both of which should pick up about $1 million.

Gossip Cop will have updates.
