Russell Brand got into an altercation with a paparazzo in New Orleans on Monday, wrestling away the photographer’s iPhone and allegedly hurling it through a nearby window.
The man, Timothy Jackson, filed a police report citing “criminal damages” after the incident with Brand, which reportedly occurred after Jackson and other paparazzi noticed the actor-comedian and began to snap shots.
Brand is said to have been infuriated, grabbing Jackson’s cell phone and throwing it through the window of an abandoned building.
Jackson immediately contacting police, and cops are now looking to question Brand, according to TMZ.
It’s not the first time Brand has had a run-in with a photographer.
In September 2010, he tangled with a paparazzo at LAX airport after the man tried to shoot up the skirt of Brand’s then-fiancee Katy Perry.
