Cheryl Tiegs First to Be Fired on New Celebrity Apprentice

Truth rating: 10

(NBC)

The fifth season of “Celebrity Apprentice” kicked off on Sunday, and featured a brand-new cast made up of reality stars, singers, actors and more.

The premiere introduced the 18 competitors and wasted no time sending the teams out for their first task.

The contestants were charged with selling sandwiches in two New York City delis, with the winning team determined based on the total of money made through sales, tips and donations.

Paul Teutal, Sr. of “American Chopper” led the guys’ team, Unanimous.

The women’s team, Forte, was headed by model Patricia Velasquez, and got a big boost from famous pals like Bravo exec Andy Cohen, Russell Simmons and Wyclef Jean, all of whom stopped by and ponied up large donations.

Representatives from both teams were also sent to “The Rachael Ray Show,” where the chef and talk show host evaluated the sandwiches before choosing which she liked best.

Ray picked Tetual’s sandwich, giving the team an extra $35,000.

That combined with a whopping $305,000 donation from one of the biker’s unnamed friends handed the men’s team a surprise win for the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

And, of course, it wouldn’t be “The Apprentice” without Donald Trump uttering those two famous words: “You’re fired.”

After a heated discussion amongst the ladies in the boardroom, it was down to Victoria Gotti and Cheryl Tiegs.

In the end, Tiegs was fired.
