Adele is striking back at a French tabloid that published photos it alleges came from a sex tape featuring the singer.
The magazine, Public, claims the Grammy winner is the woman in the X-rated footage and screenshots, which supposedly came from a paparazzo named Jean-Claude Elfassi who claimed he’d release the footage on his site.
But Gossip Cop can report: It is NOT Adele.
She is NOT the rumored “sex tape” star, and now her legal team is taking legal action.
“We are informed that the French magazine Public has today published images which it claims show our client in a sex tape,” the star’s attorneys say in a statement.
It continues, “Our client has not appeared in a sex tape as claimed in the article. Our client does not appear in the photographs.”
“Such claims are untrue and grossly defamatory,” say Adele’s lawyers. “Our client is taking legal action in relation to this matter.”
