Aaron Carter is still struggling with the shocking death of his sister Leslie.
The singer recently returned to an off-Broadway staging of The Fantasticks following a leave of absence, but he’s fallen ill with strep throat and will miss some performances.
Late Monday on Twitter, Carter cited enormous pain over Leslie’s passing as contributing to his condition.
“Still missing my sister and now getting over the shock of her death,” wrote Carter.
He continued, “It might have made me sick at this point. #RIP #LeslieCarter ;( ”
Carter then tweeted, “Life is precious & fragile u don’t realize it until u go through an experience like I have recently with my sister. Choose life. Not drugs..”
But Carter is hopeful about getting back on stage soon, writing to fans, ”Doing my best to recover… miss you guys!!”
