Perez Hilton is the victim of a death hoax.
On Monday, a bogus rumor that the gossip blogger – who’s become a celebrity in his own right – had died spread like wildfire on Twitter.
The hoax apparently began as a disgusting fake “CNN” retweet.
“RIP Perez Hilton” became a trending topic, only further fueling speculation.
It is 100% false.
Hilton is alive and well.
And for all the journalistic problems we sometimes have with him, we’re extremely happy that’s the case.
These unfunny, upsetting Twitter death rumors have got to stop.
