Snooki and JWoww are going to have to find another town to smoosh.

The mayor of Hoboken, New Jersey has shot down MTV’s request to film the ladies’ “Jersey Shore” spin-off in the city.

Mayor Dawn Zimmer sent a letter to the network and the show’s production company stating, “Based on protecting public safety and quality of life concerns for Hoboken residents, the city has denied a film permit for a spin-off of the ‘Jersey Shore’ to be filmed in public locations.”

“Any attempts to film in a manner that is not permitted without a permit will be dealt with immediately and aggressively by the city of Hoboken,” adds Zimmer.

In September, New Jersey Governor Chris Christie blocked a $420,000 tax credit for the producers of “Jersey Shore” to film the hit MTV series in his state, explaining that he was “duty-bound” to ensure that taxpayers are not footing a bill “for a project which does nothing more than perpetuate misconceptions about the state and its citizens.”

Where do you think Snooki and JWoww should take their antics now that Hoboken is off-limits?
